Studied the reference link in Solution section and found the proper order to be: 1) From the Azure Portal, create an Azure AD administrator for LitwareSQLServer1. 2) In SQLDB1, create contained database users. 3) Connect to SQLDB1 by using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

How can you create contained database users without connecting to SSMS? I believe the order is correct in the given answer.

This cannot be right. SSMS (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio) is the tool you use to do the database administration work, including creating contained database users.

2 and 3 should be swapped. YOU WOULD NEED TO LOGIN TO THE DB FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN CREATE A CONTAINER USER.

Order provided in the answer is correct. To create an Azure AD-based contained database user (other than the server administrator that owns the database), connect to the database

Congratulations to all for reaching the end of the mock test. Long journey, but very enriching path. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/azure-sql/database/authentication-aad-overview?view=azuresql The configuration steps include the following procedures to configure and use Microsoft Entra authentication. Create and populate a Microsoft Entra tenant. Optional: Associate or change the current directory that is associated with your Azure Subscription. Create a Microsoft Entra administrator. Configure your client computers. Create contained database users in your database mapped to Microsoft Entra identities. Connect to your database with Microsoft Entra identities. Answer: ) create an Azure AD administrator for LitwareSQLServer1. 2) In SQLDB1, create contained database users. 3) Connect to SQLDB1 by using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

Took the exam on 24 April 2024, these are still valid. Had 50 questions and 1 study case. 98% of questions are from here. Some questions had the answers in different order. On the exam page it is mentioned that exam questions will be updated on 30 April 2024. So take care, as long as they don't change the exam name (like: AZ-501, AZ-502) you should be safe with these. Cheers and good luck, don't forget - sharing is caring

I totally agree with you. See following link. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/authentication-aad-configure?view=azuresql&tabs=azure-powershell Section "Connect to the database using SSMS or SSDT" To confirm the Azure AD administrator is properly set up, connect to the master database using the Azure AD administrator account. To provision an Azure AD-based contained database user (other than the server administrator that owns the database), connect to the database with an Azure AD identity that has access to the database.
