You have an Azure subscription that contains an Azure SQL database. You plan to use Azure reservations on the Azure SQL database. To which resource type will the reservation discount be applied?

You cannot reserve DTU-based (basic, standard, or premium) databases in SQL Database. Reserved capacity pricing is only supported for features and products that are in General Availability state.

For Azure SQL Database, Azure Hybrid Benefit is only available when using the provisioned compute tier of the vCore-based purchasing model. Azure Hybrid Benefit doesn't apply to DTU-based purchasing models or the serverless compute tier.
