LAPS deployment is as follows, as I currently understand it: "PowerShell Module," and/or the "Fat Client UI," is installed on the devices that need access to the Passwords. This is because these are both methods of accessing the administrator passwords of the Target Devices. GPO Editor Template is installed on the Domain Controller/Group Policy Management Server. This is because the Domain Controller needs access to the LAPS GPO Settings through the Group Policy Editor that will be pushed out to the Target Devices. AdmPwd GPO Extension is installed on the Target Devices. This is because this extension contains the password settings that will be manipulated on the Target Device when the Domain Controller pushes a Group Policy Update.

correct: from link above Alternative method of installation to managed clients is to copy the AdmPwd.dll to the target computer and use this command: regsvr32.exe AdmPwd.dll
