1. If we wanna continue to be able to refresh data based on “User(Raw data)” located in a shared folder, go with A(data Source setting). 2. If we wanna restrict Raw data information, go with A’s (data Source setting) permission (public or private). 3. If we wanna not show/delete any data behind the scenes, duplicate the original workbook, “File”-“Info”-“Check for Issue”-“Inspect Document”.

The answer appears to be A. See this link, it talks about how you can modify the source location when you move a file/table to a new location and need to update that location. The question is trying to be tricky to make you think you need to adjust the "Refresh" settings, but you cannot refresh the file if it is no longer connected to the workbook, so you must reconnect the work book and this is how you do it. https://exceloffthegrid.com/power-query-source-data-location/

I tried to enter another source path going into Connections - Properties as suggested in D, but it doesn't allow to enter a new path. So it must be A.

In connection properties you can modify the connection string, therefore I like D as the answer. A appears it would also work as others have suggested.

I would say A is the idiot proff solution . I simply would update the source. If doing it manually, why not from the query editor? I don't see any benefit from doing it through the connection properties, unless something is automated... But this seems not to be the case here.
