There's 3 type of Relational data SQL: DDL (Data Definition Language) CREATE, DROP, ALTER, RENAME, COMMENT AND TRUNCATE. DML (Data Manipulación Language) SELECT, INSERT INTO, DELETE, UPDATE. DCL (Data Control Language) REVOKE & GRANT. TCL (Transaccional Control Language) COMMIT & ROLLBACK (Comment from a previous question.)

@Roy_zuniga: DDL (Data Definition Language) CREATE, DROP, ALTER, RENAME, COMMENT AND TRUNCATE. DML (Data Manipulation Language) SELECT, INSERT INTO, DELETE, UPDATE. I have a conflict with the "TRUNCATE" as being DDL. I would rather put it into DML. Does MS have a clear information about this?
