Maybe some comments are out of date. The DPL is already created, now you need a notification. To configure that, go to https://compliance.microsoft.com/alertpolicies (Purview, Policies, Alert Policies and setup a New Alert Policy). So, in my opinion the answer provided is correct.

I can create a DLP alert in the security center but not in the Endpoint DLP settings in the compliance center
