Agreed tested in lab, can't do all of Teams in one policy. Yammer would need a fourth policy as well

It's a fairly new option. 3 is correct, but will the exam answer have been updated? https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-private-channels-gain-support-for-retention-processing/m-p/2537901

Just tested in my lab environment (12.05.2023) and when you can have 1 policy for: OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint. 1 needed for: Teams Channels and Teams Chat and 1 for Teams private channel messages. So as of now it requires 3 policies. Hopefully the answers are also updated in the exam.

2 Why: To include newly created call data records for Teams channel messages and Teams private channel messages, you must select the Teams chats location, instead of the Teams channel messages and Teams private channel messages locations. Tested and confirmed. I'm not sure if the question is not typed in properly but if we are to assume when it says Teams it means channel messages, chats, and private channel messages, then the answer is 3. As soon as you have enabled Teams channel or chats in retention policy, the Exchange / sharepoint / onedrive become automatically disabled. Same goes for private messages, as soon as you flip it on it flips everything else off. So you need 3. If it's NOT private channel messages, then it is 2. But if it's included in the question you will know it is 3.

Although a retention policy can support multiple services that are identified as "locations" in the retention policy, you can't create a single retention policy that includes all the supported locations https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/create-retention-policies?view=o365-worldwide
