Selected Answer: D
My answer is D—storage1. Can't be storage2 since there is no such thing as a StorageV2 storage account with premium performance. StorageV2 storage accounts are Standard performance only. Can't be storage3 since "BlobStorage" itself, is not a selectable storage account type. BlobStorage refers to GPv2, block blob and page blob storage types. It does not include the File shares storage account type. Can't be storage4 since you can't even create StorageV1 accounts anymore.

Selected Answer: D
For implementing FSLogix profile containers, the storage account should ideally be in the same region as the Azure Virtual Desktop deployment to ensure optimal performance. Since the Seattle office’s Azure Virtual Desktop deployment is in the West US Azure region, the storage account should also be in the West US region. Based on the provided table, the storage accounts and their regions are: storage1: East US storage2: West US storage3: East US storage4: North Europe Given this information, storage2 is the storage account located in the West US region, making it the most suitable choice for the Seattle office’s FSLogix profile containers.

The Standard file share is sufficient for fewer than 200 users. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/store-fslogix-profile

Why would you use Storage 1 (standard) if a premiums storage (Storage 2) is available? I would choose A -> Storage 2

Looking here StorageV2 has premium support https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/files/storage-how-to-create-file-share?tabs=azure-portal#create-a-storage-account

Would normally use Premium for fslogix in a prod environment, however Microsoft recommends Standard storage for 200 users or less, which I find odd. If you've deployed fslogix before you will understand the difference between the two and why this answer though correct isn't always ideal.

A - Assume Storage 2 is Azure File Share. I will go to Storage 2. we never use V1 as no private endpoint supported. you won't route your SMB file share via internet... not funny at all.

Storage 1 or Storage 2 could be answer, therefore A or D. However, based on the RDS utilisation report (not seen) the usage patterns could dictate the use of Premium storage if: a) light us with more than 200 users b) Medium/Heavy/Power usage required. On top of this, MS states "Standard file shares provide reliable performance for IO workloads that are less sensitive to performance variability, such as general-purpose file shares and dev/test environments." I would go with answer A. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/store-fslogix-profile#azure-files-tiers

The answer could be D only. A - File shares with Premium performance use FileStorage storage accounts not V2. B and C are obviously not good options. V1 is classic storage account that shouldn't be use D - V2 account with Standard performance is a legitimate option. There are not performance requirements for Seattle office after all. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-in/azure/storage/files/storage-files-planning https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/store-fslogix-profile
