It should be A, B, and C. You need signing limits if you want to escalate approval of an order to a certain position (such as manager or senior manager) based on its amount. I've implemented this multiple times, the logic is: signing limit -> jobs -> positions -> position hierarchy -> approval step in the workflow -> check on total order amount.

disagree about "A".. case speak about purchase requisitions approval, not orders.. then not signing limits apply, but workflow rules based on hierachies.. given answer seems OK for me
