why not "Teams Calling Plans"?

I'd say calling plans, because it says retail users have mobiles with data plan. They can still connect to internet even if their company WAN fails.

"Management at the new retail site wants to use Microsoft Teams Calling Plans for the users" Answer should be A - Teams Calling Plans. Since management want it and there is no technical reason not to use it :)

Selected Answer: A
Should be A-Calling Plans 1.-It is asking about Retails. where there are only one or two desk phones. Why expending money on a solution that will be "oversized"? 2.-"The users report that in the event of an internet outage at the retail sites, they can use their mobile devices, which have strong reception" 3.- It mentions that users cannot use computers for teams desktop app onsite.

The new warehouse will connect to a phone carrier by using a Session Border Controller (SBC) - "Phone carrier" Is that not telling us to use Operator Connect ?

It's not about the Wharehouse but the retails.

Georgia doesn't have calling plans. So the best answer in my opinion here is "Operator Connect". https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/country-and-region-availability-for-audio-conferencing-and-calling-plans/availability-in-georgia

Read more carefully, it asks about retails, not warehouse (which is in Georgia).

I would say "Direct Routing without media bypass". Annot be "Calling Plans" or "Operator Connect" because in planned changes says "Consolidate all its PSTN trunks by using region-specific datacenters, whenever possible". SBA is not required because in retail sites says "The users report that in the event of an internet outage at the retail sites, they can use their mobile devices, which have strong reception.". And to configure media bypass the SBC and the client must be in the same location or network (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/direct-routing-plan-media-bypass)

I disagree. SBA would have been appropriate but since they have mobile phones with data incase of an outage why not just get Calling Plan . ?

Also it is without media bypass because the technical restriction "Minimize the amount of voice traffic over the WAN.". Without media bypass, media trafic uses always an Internet connection.

What you need is an SBA but since SBA's arent mentioned and you need internet for Media. I do not see why Calling Plan does not work here ?

@ivilalta - Calling Plans and Operator Connect do essentially consolidate PSTN services to region specific DCs hosted by Microsoft/carriers

The answer is calling plan ( A) - Read " The users report that in the event of an internet outage at the retail sites, they can use their mobile devices, which have strong reception" . So if there is an outage they can still dial out on the mobile phones with Teams Calling Plan.
