No “permission” component , only role/ duty/privilege. You can setup a privilege with table CRUD permission. so the Answer is right. With multiple duties, you can make a role. duty level is for business process. Privilege level is for table setup and menu item ,or UI interface/report button. Dump answer is correct.

ANSWER IS PERMISSION AND ROLE https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/sysadmin/role-based-security#permissions Privileges In the security model, a privilege specifies the level of access that is required to perform a job, solve a problem, or complete an assignment. Privileges can be assigned directly to roles, however we recommend that you only assign duties to roles. This is so that the privileges are first grouped together into a duty, which makes it easier to maintain. A privilege contains permissions to individual application objects, such as user interface elements and tables. For example, the Cancel payments privilege contains permissions to the menu items, fields, and tables that are required to cancel payments. By default, privileges are provided for all features in finance and operations. THE ADMIN CAN MODIFY PERMISSIONS that are associated with a privilege, or create new privileges.

If your argument is that a permission is not a COMPONENT then I get your logic but I think it is still considered a component. Your making me over think this like crazy lol. You need to select the security components to implement the security requirements."

Permissions are at the menu item level which is on the privilege. And Privilege assigns to duty or role and duty is assign to the role. Create/Edit/Delete permissions are set at the menu item assign to the privilege. Should we consider Priviledge as an answer or permission?

Maintain Retail Assortments is a duty. On standard it's for Retail merchandising manager and Retail Service roles. Is there a difference between "manage" and "maintain"? It looks to me that -Permission -Duty is correct.
