B is correct, Group in the data tab, is for grouping columns and rows of the sheet.

Grouping on the column using Data Tab did not create unique values for me. It remains the same.

A is the correct answer. I tested it and it worked. Group by and Count gave the desired result.

The question says "Group on the Data tab" which means the data tab in the excel itself which is not correct.
