Answer is yes. Tried it and the hierarchy auto-creates. Regarding the position of the subtotals, it depends on the settings, even with the hierarchy I couldn't get the view in the diagram automatically

Agreed the answer is B, I have tried to simulate this layout in normal Pivot table but cannot simulate this layout even though I can format the total at the bottom. This special layout can only be created through powerpivot

The PivotTable layout is different in PowerPivot and regular Excel PivotTable, so the answer is B

Could be NO also , as without hierarchy subtotals come at top . And not at bottom , and that's what needed in the solution

I also think that B is correct. Reason: Just dragging the fields as said does not give the subtotals (you need to make additional configurations in the pivot table). And - as lecp1530 says, the subtotals are formatted differently without the hierarchy.
