For usual machines are stored in FO. But FO isnt mentioned here anywhere... but i still guess that its B If the machines are stored somewhere in CE for example Sales, then you still have access from field service to it because you are still in CE. So there is no need for a connector

Why not "Dual-write"?

Because it says no where that Finance or SCM is involved and Dual write integrates Dataverse with F&O.
