You need something to compare to. That is called a baseline. You cannot say anything is faster or slower if you dont have something to compare it to. So its A.

How do we know if it's faster if we have nothing to compare with? Therefore A is the correct Baselin.

A baseline for your performance measure is the average level of performance that you are currently at, and that you will compare future performance levels with to test if performance is really changing. As per the question they are asking what the creation is called. Its called a performance level baseline.

answer is most definitely D. As you would be comparing it. it would only be A if it was a fresh install with nothing to compare it to. hence Baseline. but stick with D on the actual exam if it comes up.

Surely the correct answer is D. If it was "What is the first step" A would be correct. The fact the question already establishes you have done this “You have now created performance logs to measure the throughput… “ and are looking to compare those results with the new ones, “new server configuration to compare to past performance” clearly shows the baseline has been created and anything after is Performance and Monitoring how the new system and set up compares.

It should be D. IF the question was what`s the FIRST process to do, then, answer would be A. But as a whole, it`s D

Anyway you're creating a new baseline at last, so A is considered correct

You have now created performance logs(this is the process you carried out) to measure the throughput of the new server configuration to compare to past performance(This is the reason you carried it out). What is this process called?(The question is about the process, not the reason) Correct answer is A. It is a deceptive question containing extraneous information.

It mentions ‘compare to past performance’. The correct answer should be ‘D’. Baseline creation would be for a completely NEW set up.

A is the answer here. first you need to have a baseline for measurement. once you have that, then the measurement process will follow

I also believe the answer is D. For me creating a baseline it's when i take the first measurements to compare with something else in the future. It it did not mention that it was to make a comparison to the old server I would go with A.

It's say's: To measure the throughput of the new server configuration to compare to past performance. So it's to make a comparison to the old server.

D could be correct, if A wasn't an option. The more accurate answer is Baseline Creation, since you are dealing with a NEW system that you are generating the first report for.
