@VK is explaining it. Box 1: never - The 10.2.9.0/24 subnet is not whitelisted.

Agree with VK: where the endpoint is enabled it is on the 10.2.0.0/24 which VK has called out. Again in the illustration it shows the checkbox is selected.

Answer looks wrong 10.2.9.0/24 is outside of 10.2.0.0/24 that shows endpoint as enabled so top one is 10.2.0.0/16 must be relevant and it doesnt have endpoint status enabled?? not sure what that means.. also checkbox (first one) under exception shows its checked.. that means second part of the answer is accessible "during backup"?
