Read the question! It doesn't say the user goes into Advanced options, it just says they click on Pause Updates. Which only pauses for 7 days. So the answer, per the wording of the question, is NO.

Indeed: To pause Windows Update, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. You can click Pause updates for 7 days to block updates for a week; it's also possible to extend this time by clicking again later. If you want to pause for a longer amount of time, click Advanced options instead. Under Pause updates, use the dropdown box to choose a date up to 35 days from today. Updates won't install until this day hits—and at that time, you'll have to install all available updates before you can pause again

Selected Answer: A
A is correct. You can change the duration up to 5 weeks. Metered connection will not resolve the issue because security updates will still be downloaded.

A metered connection is an Internet connection that has a data limit associated with it. Cellular data connections are set as metered by default. Wi-Fi and Ethernet network connections can be set to metered but aren't by default. Some apps might work differently on a metered connection to help reduce your data usage. Also, SOME updates for Windows won't be installed automatically. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/metered-connections-in-windows-7b33928f-a144-b265-97b6-f2e95a87c408#WindowsVersion=Windows_10 This does not meet the goal! You need to prevent ALL Windows updates from downloading for the duration of the trip. The solution must not prevent access to email and the Internet.

Selected Answer: A
A. Yes Turning on "Pause Updates" in the Update & Security section of the Settings app will prevent all Windows updates from downloading for a maximum of 35 days, which should cover the three-week period that the sales users will be at the location. This solution will not prevent access to email and the Internet. Therefore, this solution meets the goal of preventing Windows updates from downloading for the duration of the trip while still allowing access to email and the Internet.

Selected Answer: A
YES it meets. You can hit the Pause updates for 7 days button until you hit 35 days (same as if you would go through Advanced options). Since the sales users will be on the trip for three weeks. We have to stick with those statements only.

I choose NO (B) because, Pause Updates for 7 (or using the Advance options up to 35) days only stops the updates from INSTALLING not DOWNLOADING. To truly "defer" updates form downloading you can use Windows Updates for Business (In the Group Policy Editor go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Windows Update for Business) in this situation.

My vote is for A ("YES"). In the Advanced Options you can choose to pause updates for up to 35 days. Advanced options are still Options.

Solution:"From Update & Security in the Settings app, you turn on Pause Updates." It would stop for 7 Days. Of course you can go to advanced and so on but does it say so?? For YES, the answer has to be :" Go to Advanced Options and stop it for 3 weeks. So the answer is correct:B

The mentioned answer is correct because as per the current security best practices we should not pause the updates.

I initially chose A but I think B is the correct answer. I reread the question. The question doesn't ask for advance options.

I also feel like it should be B. If you are in settings and you click on "Pause updates" does that pause updates for 3 weeks? NO. Only if you go to advanced options you can pause up to 35 days.
