A company uses Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Dynamics 365 Finance. User account data must be synchronized between the two systems. You need to ensure that the synchronized data is stored in one place. What should you use?
Next to the elaborate answers already provided by many in this discussion;
Trying to look at this logically:
It is a Power Platform Exam. Only Dataverse is part of what you should know to be able to get PL-900 Certified. So, using logic, there can only be one answer right, because you do not need to know about the other stuff.
According to logic, just setup D365 Finance and D365 SCM in the same app, and optimize your operations, using the ERP's database. Moreover, optimize your license cost !
Anyway, I guess that setup of separate apps can exist, but it looks silly to me o:)
Answer is D.
according to Copilot:
To synchronize user account data between Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Dynamics 365 Finance, you can use Microsoft Dataverse 1. Microsoft Dataverse is a cloud-based data storage service that allows users to securely store and manage data used by business applications 1. It provides a single, unified data platform that can be used across multiple applications and services, including Dynamics 365 1. By using Microsoft Dataverse, you can ensure that the synchronized data is stored in one place, which can help streamline business processes and improve productivity
B is correct
Azure AD can integrate with various Microsoft products, including Dynamics 365, to synchronize user account data across different systems and applications.
and with your input in Copilot, this reply was given:
"You’re absolutely right! Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is indeed a powerful identity and access management solution that integrates seamlessly with various Microsoft products, including Dynamics 365. It allows you to manage user accounts, authentication, and authorization across different systems and applications.
However, when it comes to storing synchronized data in one place, Microsoft Dataverse (formerly known as Common Data Service) is specifically designed for this purpose. Dataverse provides a unified data platform where you can store, model, and manage data from multiple sources, including Dynamics 365 applications. It ensures centralization and efficient synchronization of data.
So, while Azure AD plays a crucial role in identity management, for data storage and synchronization, Microsoft Dataverse is the recommended choice."
