✑ File1.docx in C\Users\User1\Desktop

✑ File3.docx in C:\Users\Default\Desktop
User3 then signs in to Computer1 and creates a file named File4.docx in C:\Users\User3\Desktop.

Suggested Answer:
Box 1: 3 -
File1, File2 and File3.
C:\Users\Public\Desktop is the CommonDesktopDirectory special folder.
The "public desktop" folder is normally a hidden folder.

Box 2: 1 -
Only File3.

Box 3: 1 -
User3 is a guest so only the public desktop folder and File3 in that folder is displayed.

2 - 2 - 3 My lab experiment: u1 will see its own file (f1) and the public file (f2) u2 will see the public file (f2) and the default file (f3) because of the first time sign-on u3 will see its own file (f4), the public file (f2) and the default file (f3) because Windows wipes off guest profiles every time

It seems that since Windows 7 the guest profile is allowed to save files to desktop and user folders. So that brings me back to 2-2-2 for this example. https://www.digitalcitizen.life/simple-questions-what-guest-account-how-turn-it/ https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/guest-account-saves-data/8aa2f013-c7aa-4f48-ac81-a0f3cd0f88dc

I've also tested in my lab and have concluded : -user1 File1 and File2 (file3 will not be visible because the user was already connected on the pc with his account) -user2 File2 and File3 -user3 File2 and File3 (File4 is deleted after signing out because it's a Guest account) so 2-2-2

CHatGPT User1: File1.docx (C:\Users\User1\Desktop\File1.docx) File2.docx (C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop\File2.docx) File3.docx (C:\Users\Default\Desktop\File3.docx) Total: 3 User2: Since user2 has never signed in, there won't be any files on their desktop. User3: File4.docx (C:\Users\User3\Desktop\File4.docx) Total: 1 Therefore, the number of DOCX files that will appear on the desktop of each user the next time they sign in will be: User1: 3 User2: 0 User3: 1

User1 - 2 (File1 and File2) User2 - 2 (File2 and File3) User3 - 2 (File2 and File3) easily tested in a laboratory environment. - Default only adds File3 to new users who have never logged into the system. - The File4 file will be created by User3 himself, but User3 is a guest user and his data will be deleted after the first sign out. So every time User3 logs back in, File2 and File3 are recreated.

The next time User1 signs in to Computer1, they will see two DOCX files on their desktop: File1.docx and File3.docx. The next time User2 signs in to Computer1, they will see one DOCX file on their desktop: File3.docx. The next time User3 signs in to Computer1, they will see one DOCX file on their desktop: File4.docx. Note that File2.docx in the Public Desktop folder will be accessible to all users of Computer1, but it will not appear on the desktop of any individual user.
