Suggested Answer:
Box 1: No -
The following software combinations are the supported recommendations for consuming PowerApps with a screen reader:
✑ Windows: Microsoft Edge / Narrator
✑ macOS: Safari / VoiceOver
✑ Android: PowerApps app / Talkback
✑ iOS: PowerApps app / VoiceOver

Box 2: Yes -
Users who have vision, hearing, or other impairments can use your canvas app more easily and successfully if you consider accessibility as you design how the app looks and behaves. If you're not sure how to make your app more accessible, you can run the Accessibility checker in PowerApps Studio. This tool not only finds potential accessibility issues but also explains why each might be a potential problem for users who have a specific disability and offers suggestions on how to resolve each issue. The Accessibility checker detects screen-reader and keyboard issues for you, and you can find information about how to fix color-contrast issues by using accessible colors.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/connector-reference/connector-reference-powerapps-connectors There are no connectors for screen readers. Also, this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/accessible-apps#screen-readers says nothing about connectors.

Horrible wording . . . It states Power apps 'can use a' screen reader. Well, no it cannot USE a screen reader. But Windows, WebBrowsers, MacOS, Android etc CAN USE screen readers. Because of the wording, the answer is technically 'NO'. The wording makes it sound like Power Apps should somehow integrate with or leverage a screen reader from the Power Apps side. But if you interpret it as Power apps 'can be used with a' screen reader. Then the answer is YES. Of course you can use Power apps WITH a screen reader without a connector.

Answer: Yes Yes Screen readers The following screen readers have been verified to work with Power Apps: JAWS: Microsoft Edge Narrator: Microsoft Edge NVDA: Google Chrome, Firefox TalkBack: Google Chrome, Power Apps mobile VoiceOver: Power Apps mobile, Safari (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) To ensure a satisfying experience with the screen reader it is recommended to: Ensure all input controls have the AccessibleLabel property set. For images, set AccessibleLabel to an appropriate description. If a picture is not used as a button or a link (i.e. icon is there just for the decoration) and should not be read by the screen reader, make sure the AccessibleLabel is empty or not set. If a picture or an icon is used as a button, then set TabIndex to 0 and AccessibleLabel to the link description. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/accessible-apps

You can use an accessibility checker for Power Apps apps to check for accessibility violations and provide user interface tips.
