Microsoft Intune is now the name of the growing product family for all things endpoint management at Microsoft. The name Microsoft Endpoint Manager will no longer be used

terms may have changed since the publication of this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/endpoint-manager-overview the question could now be wrong. I’ll go with D at the exam

After further research I understood Endpoint Manager is not a portal or a separate console, it‘s just their concept about all the endpoint capabilities. The picture as per the link above does not exist in real, you still go either to intune or Config Manager depending on the tasks. So i will def go for D in 2 weeks

I think I‘ve changed my mind, I think Microsoft wants you to answer A even though it‘s a tool or a portal but a collection of tools and some stuff you can manage in Intune and some in Config Mgr

Its D so check this out check this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/endpoint-manager-overview under Configuration Manager and co-management it says clearly and exactly what the ask is here Configuration Manager is an on-premises management solution that uses Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). It can manage desktops, Windows servers, and laptops that are on your network or are internet-based.

another trick question - I thought Endpoint Manager included Intune only but then according to the description this would mean A and D would be correct

A. Microsoft Endpoint Manager is the solution that meets the requirements mentioned. Microsoft Endpoint Manager is a unified management platform that includes Configuration Manager and Intune. It can manage devices that are connected to the corporate network and those that are connected to the internet. Microsoft Endpoint Manager can deploy operating systems to computers, join them to an on-premises Active Directory domain, and install Windows updates. It can also manage mobile devices and applications. Therefore, Microsoft Endpoint Manager is the best solution for managing Windows 10 computers in this scenario.

Configuration Manager can meet the requirements listed in the question. However, Configuration Manager is an on-premises solution that requires a lot of infrastructure and management. Microsoft Endpoint Manager, on the other hand, is a cloud-based solution that combines Configuration Manager and Intune to manage devices from a single console. It can also manage devices that are not connected to the corporate network, making it a better fit for the scenario described in the question where some computers are connected to the internet.

Selected Answer: A
Based on the given requirements, the solution that can meet all of them is Microsoft Endpoint Manager (formerly known as SCCM). Microsoft Endpoint Manager can deploy an operating system to computers, join them to an on-premises Active Directory domain, and install Windows updates to the computers. It supports both on-premises and internet-connected devices, which makes it a suitable choice for managing a hybrid environment with both types of devices. Option B, Microsoft Intune, is a cloud-based solution that can manage internet-connected devices, but it cannot deploy an operating system to computers or join them to an on-premises Active Directory domain. Option C, Windows Autopilot, is a cloud-based solution that can automate the deployment of new Windows 10 devices, but it does not provide ongoing management of existing devices or support for on-premises Active Directory. Option D, Configuration Manager, is the previous name of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and it meets all the requirements mentioned.

I would vote against D as SCCM does not supply the solution for the case provided in the question "some computers are connected to the internet"

Selected Answer: D
I understand that Microsoft Endpoint Manager includes Configuration Manager but of all of the options, Configuration Manager is the most accurate as that is the solution that can do all three requirements. Why wasn't the answer just M365 E5? So techincally D is correct, I would say it's more correct than A.
