[All MB-300 Questions]

You are currently running version 10.0.2 of Dynamics 365 Finance.
You build a solution that includes dependencies on components in version 10.0.2. You have deferred updates of versions 10.0.3, 10.0.4, and 10.0.5. Microsoft releases version 10.0.6 of Dynamics 365 Finance. The 10.0.2 components do not work in version 10.0.6.
You need to ensure that your solution continues to work properly.
What should you do? Each correct answer presents part of the solution.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

Option A is not required, because you can pause the version 10.0.6 update if you are not ready to apply it. Option D is not feasible, because you cannot maintain the dependencies on version 10.0.2 indefinitely, as you must apply at least two service updates per year.

The correct options are B and C. Option B is necessary, because you need to update the dependencies to support version 10.0.6, which might require code changes or recompilation to avoid errors or warnings. Option C is optional, because you can use source code branches to manage your custom code lifecycle and isolate the rollout of critical changes and hotfixes from the development of new features and capabilities https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/migration-upgrade/update-guide https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/get-started/public-preview-releases.

To ensure that your solution continues to work properly in Dynamics 365 Finance, you should update the dependencies to support version 10.0.6. If you maintain the dependencies on version 10.0.2, your solution will not work properly in version 10.0.6 because the 10.0.2 components do not work in version 10.0.6. Accepting the version 10.0.6 update or pausing the version 10.0.6 update will not ensure that your solution continues to work properly. But accepting the new version after you have updated the dependencies should work.

Answer cannot be to simultaneously maintain the dependencies on version 10.0.2 and update them. You must update the dependencies to support version 10.0.6 then accept the version 10.0.6 update. TO confirm, you also no longer have the option to pause the version 10.0.6 update as you have already deferred updates as much as you can.
