SIMULATION -
Click to expand each objective. To connect to the Azure portal, type https://portal.azure.com in the browser address bar.

When you are finished performing all the tasks, click the "˜Next' button.
Note that you cannot return to the lab once you click the "˜Next' button. Scoring occur in the background while you complete the rest of the exam.

Overview -
The following section of the exam is a lab. In this section, you will perform a set of tasks in a live environment. While most functionality will be available to you as it would be in a live environment, some functionality (e.g., copy and paste, ability to navigate to external websites) will not be possible by design.
Scoring is based on the outcome of performing the tasks stated in the lab. In other words, it doesn't matter how you accomplish the task, if you successfully perform it, you will earn credit for that task.
Labs are not timed separately, and this exam may have more than one lab that you must complete. You can use as much time as you would like to complete each lab. But, you should manage your time appropriately to ensure that you are able to complete the lab(s) and all other sections of the exam in the time provided.
Please note that once you submit your work by clicking the Next button within a lab, you will NOT be able to return to the lab.

To start the lab -
You may start the lab by clicking the Next button.

Not sure if standard plan is the right answer. Question doesn't specify autoscaling, only scaling. If objective is lowest possible price then Basic plan also supports manual scaling upto 3 instances.

Question also says "The solution must use the lowest possible pricing tier for the App Service plan". So, I agree with you...Basic Service Plan seems more appropriate.

Agreed, the question doesn't require autoscale but just the ability to scale. The Basic plan allows for manual scaling and so I think Basic is correct.

I have tested in the lab. Basic Plan (B1) has Scale Out (or Scale Horizontally) option which is the lowest possible pricing tier for App Service. Free tier (F1)/Consumption Plan don't support Scale Out.

B1 will do since it supports manual scaling.

With B1," Manual scale Up to 3 instances. Subject to availability." Which means scale is not guranateed...... extracted the above text from portal. S1 makes more sense as production workload...

S1 also says "Subject to availability." I would go for Basic plan.

It doesn't say Auto scaling, so you can go with B1 which allows manual scaling up to 3 instances to save costs. S1 is the easiest answer if it says anything about autoscaling.

Horizontal scaling is Adding more instances. I did lab and found that you need Minimum Plan B1 to scale upto 3 instances. I don't know where do u see Basic / Standard Service Plan ?

B stands for Basic. Once you select e.g. B1, you'll see at the lower right corner (near blade) the wording "Basic".

Maybe we are supposed to notice that the name is prefixed "corp" and therefore a production workload - and thus S1 is the right answer.
