I think it is not correct here. You don't add the group to a Team, but members of that group. so it is one time sync. After you update membership - you need to re-add that group. (as long as Teams is not associated with a dynamic group, but it is not mean that full Team membership is dynamic)

It seems youre right. I tried myself with my lab but did not get the expected result though. Instead I found the page below. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/distribution-list-to-add-to-teams-group/m-p/1700891

You are right. When you add a dist list to a team its just an easy way to bulk add users. it's not dynamic. if you look at membership after doing so you will see names of users not the dist list name

f you add or remove team members outside of Teams (by using the Microsoft 365 admin center, Microsoft Entra ID, or Exchange Online PowerShell), it can take up to 24 hours for changes to be reflected in Teams.

Question must have a typo or an error of sorts You can use the membership of a distribution LIST to add them to a Team, this is a 1 time add and DOES NOT get updated as the distribution LIST gets updated. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/adding-a-distribution-list-to-an-existing/6fc133ab-3c56-4b94-ade1-c07a1cfee525 In order for the answer to be correct they must be talking about using a DYNAMIC group for a Tems group membership, this can/does indeed get updated once every 24 hours https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/azure/active-directory/enterprise-users/groups-troubleshooting#troubleshooting-dynamic-memberships-for-groups:~:text=may%20take%20up%20to%2024%20hours

I actually it is correct, read the stated blurb. No reason why you would not add a group to a team. If you add or remove team members outside of the Teams client (by using the Microsoft 365 admin center, Azure AD, or Exchange Online PowerShell), it can take up to 24 hours for changes to be reflected in Teams.

When a distribution group, such as Group1, is added to a team, such as Project1, the membership of the team will be updated to reflect changes to the group membership on a daily basis. This means that if 100 new members are added to Group1, the membership of Project1 will be updated the next day to include these new members. If you want to update the membership of Project1 immediately, you can remove Group1 from Project1 and then add it again.
