Action Action First off, the question says "configure the connector", so you can immediately throw out the business answers. A connector has a Trigger and an Action, so it can only be one of those. Now, this is a poorly worded question and if I'm taking it at 100% face value, then I would select Action for both. "Import into" and "Sync data" are both pure actions, and not triggers. Triggers notify your app when a specific event occurs, which I don't see here. If the first one said "monitor for changes to an excel file", then I would select trigger.

Trigger: Import into Microsoft Dataverse. Action: Synchronize data to ERP system. The task is to read data from a Microsoft Excel file and import it into Microsoft Dataverse, and then synchronize that data with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. To accomplish this, you would use the "Import into Microsoft Dataverse" operation as the trigger, which initiates the process of reading data from the Excel file and importing it into Dataverse. Once the data is imported into Dataverse, you would use the "Synchronize data to ERP system" action to copy the data from Dataverse and transfer it into the ERP system. The "Business process flow" and "Business rule" operations are not used in this scenario as they are not needed to accomplish the task of importing data from an Excel file into Dataverse and synchronizing it with an ERP system.

for importing into Dataverse.. most likely a polling trigger that waits for a file to be uploaded in a Onedrive or sharepoint

Whoever worded this and suggested those answers is a bit of a r****d. THose are actions , both of them. If you have an event, that's a trigger, ffs

1.Trigger 2.Action Assuming there is a Trigger (Manual or automatic) to Read data from a Excel file and then copy to ERP system which IS A ACTION.

I think the answer to this is pretty obvious from the header 'Action'. "Importing" data and "Synchronizing data" are both operational flows and thus actions.

If it referred something to as, "Initiate" Importing data when a new file is created/added, then it would have been Trigger.

Trigger: Trigger: This operation specifies when the connector should run, such as when a new record is created or updated in Dataverse or ERP system. You can use this operation more than once to define multiple triggers for the connector. Action: This operation specifies what the connector should do, such as import data into Dataverse or synchronize data to ERP system. You can use this operation more than once to define multiple actions for the connector.

Sorry, should be Action-Trigger. Import into Microsoft Dataverse: Action. An action is a Power Automate operation that performs a task or changes data. You can use the Import data from Excel action to import data from an Excel file into a Dataverse table. Synchronize data to ERP system: Trigger. A trigger is a Power Automate operation that starts a flow when a specific event occurs or when a condition is met. You can use the When a row is added, modified or deleted trigger to start a flow when data is changed in a Dataverse table

There are no triggers here because there is no specific event. A trigger is an event that starts a cloud flow. For example, you want to get a notification in Microsoft Teams when someone sends you an email This question is all about ACTIONS and what to do with the connector

I also think Action and Action: "Actions are changes directed by a user." https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/connectors
