An online transaction processing (OLTP) system is designed to handle real-time transactional operations, such as capturing and processing sales transactions, inventory management, and customer interactions. POS systems are typically used in retail environments to facilitate the sale of products or services to customers.
Whoever answers these doesn't evne know the basics. A POS is an example of OLTP, as ANY financial operation has to be transactional. The transactional data stored afterwards can then be transferred to a DW for analytics and reporting to be done, but that is an entirely different matter.
Ha Ha, no it's not. It's OLTP or your customers are gonna be super mad.
