Selected Answer: C
C. Review the existing service contracts to find an option to help procure the vehicles. In this situation, the project manager should review the existing service contracts to see if there are any provisions or clauses that could help address the issue with the vehicle supplier. This may involve checking if the contract with the construction services provider has any flexibility or options for additional services, including vehicle procurement. By doing so, the project manager can explore existing contractual arrangements to find a solution that minimizes project delays and additional costs. It's essential to engage legal and contract management experts if needed to navigate the contractual terms effectively. If no contractual provisions are found, then the project manager should consider engaging the change control board (CCB) to assess and approve any necessary changes to the project's scope, schedule, or budget related to this issue.

C is correct as contract can include some additional information/options for such a case. So contract should be checked first.

Selected Answer: C
C seems to be correct. D: Procuring the vehicles from another supplier without involving the change control board (CCB) would undermine proper change management processes and potentially lead to issues with contract compliance or stakeholder expectations.

Selected Answer: D
Given the time constraint and the inability of the original vehicle supplier to deliver, the project manager should take immediate action to procure the vehicles from an alternative supplier. This ensures that the project can continue without significant delays. Once the vehicles are procured from the new supplier, the project manager should report this change to the change control board (CCB) as part of the project's change management process. The CCB will review and assess the change to determine its impact on the project, including any potential budget or schedule adjustments. Options A and B are not suitable in this situation as revising the requirements or requesting additional time from the client would likely result in project delays. Option C, reviewing existing service contracts, may not provide a viable solution for procuring the vehicles as the contracts may not have provisions for such a situation. Therefore, the best course of action is to procure the vehicles from another supplier and report the change to the change control board for appropriate documentation and approval.

Are you sure? CCB should be involved BEFORE a change, not after. CCB is created to decide if a change can be allowed, not to register one decided by someone else.
