Selected Answer: A
The issue log is typically used to track and manage issues that arise during the execution of the project. In this case, the lack of required skills is identified during the planning phase, before the execution has started. It’s more of a potential issue or risk rather than a current issue. Option A, on the other hand, addresses the problem proactively by developing a resource management plan and ensuring adequate training. This helps to build the capabilities of the team and ensures that they are equipped to handle the tasks assigned to them. While updating the issue log (Option D) could be a part of the process, it’s not the first step that should be taken. The first step should be to address the skills gap directly, which is what Option A suggests.

D. Update the issue log to account for the lack of team member qualifications: While it is important to document this issue, merely logging the issue without taking proactive steps to address it is not a sufficient response. The issue log should be used in conjunction with active steps to resolve the problem. In conclusion, the first step should be to plan for skill development through training as part of the resource management plan. This approach is in line with the principles of continuous improvement and team development, which are central to effective project management.

Selected Answer: A
The project is still in the planning stage and has thus time for training. Its also not an issue yet, merely a risk, hence the issue log would be the wrong log to note a potential lack of knowledge down.

You are still in the planning stage. Nothing has become an issue yet. Plan for a resources first.

You should address the issue as well not just update issue log A. Develop the resource management plan and ensure adequate training
