Project artifacts are important, but they should serve the purpose of supporting project deliverables and outcomes.
Prioritizing artifact creation to the detriment of deliverables can lead to delays and may not contribute to project success.
The project manager should guide the team to strike a balance between creating necessary artifacts and focusing on the timely delivery of project outcomes.
Emphasizing the importance of both artifacts and deliverables ensures a comprehensive approach to project management.
Automated tools cost money and the question does not mention how tight the budget is. I am going with A because artifacts are important and part of the project process but solely focusing on artifacts does not deliver deliverables.
The team have a understanding problem, they are applying artifacts rigidly, PM should clarify the Project Team that this is not the correct way, according to above the Option D doesn´t focus on the concept understanding and the team will continue on the wrong way.
While project artifacts are important for documentation, organization, and communication purposes, they should not overshadow the primary goal of a project, which is to produce successful deliverables. Overemphasizing the creation and maintenance of artifacts at the expense of actual work can lead to delays and loss of focus on the main objectives. The project manager's role is to ensure that the team strikes a balance between documentation and deliverable-focused activities. Prioritizing artifacts rigidly may result in missing out on the actual value the project is meant to deliver. Thus, it's crucial for the project manager to remind the team of the bigger picture and the primary purpose of the project.
I believe it is D as well however A could be the answer as well, as letting the project team understand that focusing on the artifacts will not lead to successful delierables
