lets understand the statement A virtual team has disagreements about the client's requirements however the requirements are clearly written but unclear for the "some international team members" . The local team argue that their instructions are clear and they claim that the international team members are not able to work or understand the requirements. Now lets go to given options A. (NO) B. NO (the statement is about the conflict and communication issue and not the cultural difference) C. (YES, they should explain more clearly what to do according to the requirement) D. could be yes but here some team members have issue , not all of them) E. ( this is the root cause of the issue, and by addressing this issue reflects option C, means it will help local team to explain requirements to the international team. So in my opinion its C and E

B. Training can help bridge the gap in competence and ensure that international team members have a clear understanding of the requirements. This can be particularly important when there are language and cultural differences. E. Address the language ambiguity in the requirements to ensure all team members understand them. Clear communication is essential for successful project execution. Addressing language ambiguity in the requirements will help create a common understanding among all team members, both local and international, reducing the likelihood of disagreements and misunderstandings. These actions aim to improve the overall communication and understanding within the virtual team, fostering a more collaborative and effective working environment.

The best two actions for the project manager to take are: B. Train all project team members to recognize and discuss cultural differences E. Address the language ambiguity in the requirements to ensure all team members understand them Here's why: B. Cultural awareness training: Attributing the problem solely to a lack of competence on the international team's part is likely inaccurate and harmful. Cultural differences in communication styles and interpretations can easily lead to misunderstandings. Training everyone on recognizing and discussing these differences promotes better understanding and collaboration. E. Clarify ambiguous requirements: The requirements themselves being ambiguous, regardless of cultural backgrounds, is the actual core issue. Focusing on resolving that by revising the language to be clear and precise for everyone to understand directly addresses the source of the problem.

Selected Answer: BE
B. Train all team members on cultural differences: This addresses the root cause of the disagreement, which is not simply one group's competence but a misunderstanding arising from cultural differences in communication styles and interpretations. Training will help both local and international team members understand and appreciate these differences, leading to better communication and collaboration. E. Address the language ambiguity in the requirements: The requirements themselves are causing confusion, regardless of cultural differences. The project manager needs to revise the requirements to be clear and unambiguous, using concise language and avoiding jargon or technical terms that may not be understood by everyone. This will ensure everyone is working on the same understanding of the project goals and deliverables.
