An adaptive standup meeting, often called a daily scrum, is a brief daily meeting where the team discusses progress and challenges.
The primary purpose is to:
Share progress: What did I do yesterday?
Discuss current work: What will I do today?
Identify impediments: What is blocking my progress?
This information helps the team stay synchronized, address issues promptly, and maintain focus on the project's goals.
While calculating velocity and updating the burndown chart are important, they are typically done after the standup, not during it.
