A. Help all team members learn to deal with their emotions by building a culture of empathy. This option promotes a supportive team environment, encouraging understanding and compassion among team members. By fostering a culture of empathy, the project manager can help the team navigate the challenges posed by personal issues, ultimately improving overall team dynamics and performance. Supporting emotional well-being can lead to better communication, collaboration, and resilience within the team, allowing them to work through difficulties together. Additionally, this approach can create a safe space for the affected team member to seek help and express their feelings, which can be beneficial for their recovery and reintegration into the team.

HR can offer resources such as counseling services, employee assistance programs, or other forms of support to help the key team member manage their personal issues and improve their performance. Involving HR also ensures that the approach to addressing the situation is sensitive, confidential, and professionally handled.
