I think again this is a tricky question because while most of you think C., where that answer I think is wrong is because in the PMBOK page 178, it does say it "generally manifests" as iterative scheduling and on-demand, pull-based scheduling. BUT the answer actually says in C. REQUIRED. It's NOT required. It's generally that. This is why C. is wrong, but 90% of you would pick C. and get it wrong. The entire point of adaptive is that it's flexible and not always following anything to a T. Keep that in mind in general with anything agile/flexible/adaptive/iterative. It's very unique to the situation and nothing is ever in stone.

Although it says manifest, not required. So B could be also right

Selected Answer: C
In adaptive or Agile environments, scheduling often operates in an iterative manner, allowing for adjustments and refinements as the project progresses. Pull-based scheduling involves task prioritization based on immediate needs and demand, allowing the team to adapt their schedule based on evolving requirements and changes in priorities. This flexibility is integral to adapting and responding effectively to changes in an adaptive project environment.

pg.175 Under key concepts for project schedule management. When possible, the detailed project schedule should remain flexible throughout the project to adjust for knowledge gained, increased understanding of the risk, and value-added activities." nowhere in the PMBOK guide does it say that a pull-based scheduling is "REQUIRED".

C is wrong because a pull base isn't required. Making that an incorrect answer. B is the next best option

Selected Answer: C
When working on the scheduling for an adaptive environment, the project manager should consider the following condition: C. An iterative scheduling and on-demand, pull-based scheduling will be required. In an adaptive environment, where requirements and project conditions are likely to change, traditional linear scheduling approaches may not be effective. Instead, an iterative scheduling approach is needed, where work is planned and scheduled in shorter iterations or increments. This allows for flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities as new knowledge is gained throughout the project. On-demand, pull-based scheduling is also important in an adaptive environment. Rather than pre-determining the entire schedule upfront, work is scheduled based on the actual need and demand. As the project progresses, work is pulled into the schedule based on the availability of resources, the evolving priorities, and the feedback received.

The question didn't ask about key trends. It asked what to keep in mind when scheduling, which is why B is correct.

Selected Answer: C
Adaptive approaches use short cycles to undertake work, review the results, and adapt as necessary. These cycles provide rapid feedback on the approaches and suitability of deliverables, and generally manifest as iterative scheduling and on-demand, pull-based scheduling, as discussed in the section on Key Trends and Emerging Practices in Project Schedule Management
