Wrong! Workaround if the risk has not been identified nor registered in the risk register. Hence, this is active acceptance strategy where the risk is identified and for some reason no action be taken.

Changed my mind… if a risk occurs, which was not identified or passive accepted, it requires a workaround. Sorry for the confusion.

As the risk did not happen there is no need for a workaround. Project manager should implement a contingency or fallback plan.
