D. Build a custom report type and use Display As in Edit Layouts to make the requested changes. To change the column headings for fields on opportunity reports, an administrator should create a custom report type and use the Display As option in Edit Layouts to rename the column headings. This approach allows for greater flexibility and control over the report layout, and ensures that the changes only affect the specific report type. The other options listed may not be suitable for this specific requirement.

https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000382735&type=1 Once a Custom Report Type has been created or identified, refer to the steps below to rename the fields in the report layout: Navigate to: Setup, enter Report Types in the Quick Find box, then select Report Types. Find and open the desired Custom Report Type, then click Edit Layout. Double click or select the desired field and click Edit Properties. To rename multiple fields at a time, press the Shift key while selecting the fields. A new dialog box will appear. Enter the desired display label in the Display As box and click OK. If you want to see how the renamed fields will display on reports, click Preview Layout. Save your changes.
