Do you think the answer is C?
Core functions of SAM:
Software reconciliation
- The process of producing a compliance position by comparing the number of software rights acquired against the normalized software inventory
Software reclamation
- The process of identifying unused software and uninstalling it so that the software rights for the user or device can be repurposed
Software Spend
- The ServiceNow Software Spend Detection application enables you to track, analyze, and optimize IT software spending from imported financial data.
I agree Financial Management - A. Per SAM Fundamentals - SAM facilitates the tracking, evolution, and management of software license rights, compliance and optimization. Which my interpretation is License rights = Rights allocation, Compliance = Inventory Managment, Optimization = reclamation. No where does it say financial management.
I actually would like to update my answer to "D - Inventory Management": https://www.servicenow.com/products/it-asset-management/what-is-inventory-management.html
Looking at the Asset Workspace, there is a lot of inventory and financial management. Allocation happens at/after procurement. Reclamation is not required, but should be happening for products, therefore I vote B, Reclamation. You have to do all else, but reclamation is not required.
