Not really, as B is: "A column is one field and a record is one row." A Column cannot be a field AND a record at the same time. In case of A, a Column is a field and a User is a record \row in the User table.

That is not what it says tough. It says that, the column is a field in the row, and that the row is considered whole record. I agree with that since it answers the general question. The question doesn't ask you about a specific user table but about a table in general. That's why A doesn't make sense to me either.
