The Scoping Guide is the most critical piece of pre-engagement collateral because it:
Establishes alignment on project goals, functional areas, and high-level requirements.
Helps identify what’s in scope vs. out of scope before deeper engagement begins.
Is a standard artifact in ServiceNow’s pre-sales and delivery readiness process.
❌ Why the Others Are Less Suitable:
A. FAQ – Helpful, but not always required or standardized for pre-engagement.
C. Customer Service roles template – Typically used after engagement begins during discovery or design.
D. SKU and pricing sheet – Belongs to sales/procurement, not implementation prep.
