When you need to unload similarly formatted data on a regular schedule, Snowflake recommends using a named file format object. Named file formats are optional, but they encapsulate all of the required format options (e.g. file type, compression, delimiters) in a reusable database object, streamlining your COPY INTO … unload operations without repeatedly specifying the same options
