I almost got caught by C. If the systems are different: The search head captain must be assigned to the SMALLest search head in the cluster. Otherwise it might overload one of the other members, assuming it is bigger than it is.

All search head cluster members most have the same OS version. and the index cluster most have the same OS as the search head cluster members.
