Agree! Please change the answer moderator, it's users who uses them, knowledge managers build them! Unless the question is asking about who is building them

Selected Answer: D
The correct answer is: **D. Knowledge Managers** ### Explanation: *Pivots** in Splunk are typically used to build reports and dashboards **without writing SPL (Search Processing Language)**. This makes them ideal for: * **Knowledge Managers**, who work with **data models** and need to create **visualizations, reports, and dashboards** for non-technical users. * They often manage **data model acceleration** and ensure that users can analyze data through **point-and-click interfaces** like Pivot. ### Why not the others? * **A. Users** – Might use pivots, but typically consume dashboards/reports rather than create them. * **B. Architects** – Focus on deployment design and infrastructure, not pivots. * **C. Administrators** – Manage Splunk configuration, indexing, and user roles—not pivots directly. ✅ **Correct Answer: D. Knowledge Managers**

I think D. The prerequisite for using pivots is the design of the data model. The data model is created by the knowledge manager, not the user.

A Creation of data models for Pivot users. Splunk software offers the Pivot tool for users who want to quickly create tables, charts, and dashboards without having to write search strings that can sometimes be long and complicated. The Pivot tool is driven by data models--without a data model Pivot has nothing to report on. Data models are designed by Splunk knowledge managers: people who understand the format and semantics of their indexed data, and who are familiar with the Splunk search language.
