After all that work we would expect a bit of a "gimme," and we get one. It’s Acceptability! Even those baffled by the interplay of the rules can get a point for this question by merely comparing the rules to the choices and tossing out the violators. Remember that each choice is a list of circled letters! Rule 1 is never violated, but there’s always Rule 2. Scan the choices for "both types of pop on sale." D. has it. Following Rule 2, D. should have "all soul on sale"—yet only new soul is on
D.s list. Put a line through D.
