Answer is A: The administrator is not a member of this business group. All other roles require being a part of the group they are trying to manage. Therefore the Group manager role is required. Group manager role Can create entitlements and assign approval policies for the group. Support role Can request and manage service catalog items on behalf of the other members of the business group. Shared access role Can use and run actions on the resources that other business group members deploy. User role Can request service catalog items to which they are entitled. https://docs.vmware.com/en/vRealize-Automation/7.3/vrealize-automation-73-configuration.pdf

The admin isn't currently a member of the business group, but the question doesn't indicate it has to stay that way. It states we can't change the VM's ownership or business group, but says nothing about the admin's business group. C is a better fit due to the "minimum role" requirement.

I think is "C" Shared access because question asks for minimum role required while the admin its not a member of the BG so... hared Access Role - Business Groups Imagine there are 2 admins, we shall call them Tim and Tom. Tim provisions a 20 of systems for a business group in vRA as a user. Tim rage quits the company. Tom now has to manage those systems. Tom is a user; and has no administrative credentials within vRA. He can't see other users systems and as such, he can't see Tim the rage-quitters systems either. In Pre-vRA 7.3 world, Tim would need to have a cloud administrator reassign all the systems to him as an owner; or elevate his permissions to a manager/support level to be able to see the systems. Not great. vRA 7.3 introduces the “Shared Access Role”. Shared Access allows for added members to see the deployments other users have done within that business group as well as perform entitled Day-2 Operations against them. https://www.thehumblelab.com/vra-73-ga-favorite-features/

Question asks for minimum role required, so I am guessing "B support role" and not A manager role. For C and D, you would need to be a member of business group.

On second thought, for support role, the user needs to be a member of the business group too. So A seems correct.

All of these roles include being a member of the BG (manager refers to Bussiness Group Manager) so that doesn't matters. The question implies that the user will be added to the BG but asks which role should be used. The role is Shared Access as it only allows the user to use and run actions on resources deployed by other members, as the question asks. https://docs.vmware.com/en/vRealize-Automation/7.3/com.vmware.vra.prepare.use.doc/GUID-135436AC-CF31-44A1-A358-61D2B68183AE.html
