BCF hot migration means move machine in operational state to another host so 1. the two hosts must see same storage 2. the destination host must see he same network fo the vm or else the vm will lose connectivity 3. the CPUs of the two hosts must have same instruction set. EVC mode is for this. If not, the migration becomes cold i.e. the machine needs to be shut down before migration.
