I will go with B & D on this one Reason: In order to completer the task both vCenter and PSC need to join AD. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.psc.doc/GUID-02C0861B-BC0D-4CDD-BF4E-53A60EF03B71.html#GUID-02C0861B-BC0D-4CDD-BF4E-53A60EF03B71 If you want to add an Active Directory identity source to Platform Services Controller, you must join the Platform Services Controller appliance to an Active Directory domain. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.psc.doc/GUID-B23B1360-8838-4FF2-B074-71643C4CB040.html#GUID-B23B1360-8838-4FF2-B074-71643C4CB040 it said: If you are adding an Active Directory identity source, the vCenter Server Appliance or the vCenter Server Windows machine must be in the Active Directory domain Choosing A & D seem misleading. My opinion is Answer D supersede A. I might be wrong but I strongly believe B & D is best suit for this question

I think this is A & D. The PSC is external, and it is that component that joins the domain, not the VC itself. https://www.vembu.com/blog/active-directory-authentication-vsphere-6-7-update-1/
