An administrator is planning a new cluster deployment supporting groups of 4 fault tolerant VMs. The fault tolerant systems require 8 vCPUs each. What is the minimum number of hosts required to achieve this?
B is correct. 4 hosts would only cover 1 group of VM's. Each VM within each group would require two vCPU's each to meet the requirement.
das.maxftvmsperhost
The maximum number of fault tolerant VMs allowed on a host in the cluster. Both Primary VMs and Secondary VMs count toward this limit. The default value is 4.
das.maxftvcpusperhost
The maximum number of vCPUs aggregated across all fault tolerant VMs on a host. vCPUs from both Primary VMs and Secondary VMs count toward this limit. The default value is 8.
Maximum number of FT VM's per host = 4, max number of vcpu's aggregated across all FT systems = 8. Question is confusing, but I think 8 hosts would be correct over 4, but I can't decide.
Me too but I think it will go like this. Pls correct me if i am wrong.
8vCPU is max per host meaning one host = one VM
1FT require 2VM (for thise case 2 hosts)
4FT require 8VMs (for this case 8 hosts)
