In a vSAN stretched cluster with Primary level to tolerate set to 1 and Secondary level of failure to tolerate set to 2, what is the maximum amount of space that a 100GB virtual disk could consume without any other policy rules set?
PFTT=1, SFTT=2.
The question asks for the MAXIMUM amount of space it could take - therefore we calculate with mirroring
Let's calculate: SFTT=2 makes a three-way mirror which results in 300G capacity taken. Then we apply PFTT=1 which is a two-way mirror of the whole construct to avoid site failure, this doubles the space to 600Gig. D is the correct answer, that is a the MAXIMUM space the 100Gig VM could take. Easy.
