An administrator is designing a vSAN cluster for a number of new workloads. The design calls for the use of erasure coding with RAID 5. Which statement is true about what is needed to meet the needs of this scenario?
Suggested Answer:C🗳️
RAID 5 or RAID 6 erasure coding is available only on all-flash disk groups. References: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/com.vmware.vsphere.virtualsan.doc/GUID-6D818555-8DE8-4F06-9498-66903FB9C775.html
The licencing changed with 6.7 so now C is now the only correct option. I presume this question was either written ahead of this with insider knowledge? Either that or as V08 stated it should have been a multi choice. https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/products/vsan/vmware-vsan-67-licensing-guide.pdf
RAID-5 is not included in the standard VSAN license, you need either Advanced or Enterprise license - see p.4 in the licensing guide:
