Its B as promiscuous mode allows you to obtain more information. If you do MAC Address change option, it will stop the mac addresses from changing but doesn't provide more info on who is changing the mac addresses.

It's B. Key words: "obtain more information" it doesn't say prevent MAC Address changes. Promiscuous Mode will allow you to run wireshark or other analyzer to see who or what is making those MAC changes.
