C for sure... RAID 1 consumes 200% and RAID 5 133% and both protect against data loss and RAID 6 even more reliable

C is right. The space savings of erasure coding is guaranteed. For example, assigning a policy with a RAID-5 erasure coding rule reduces capacity consumption by 33 percent versus the same level of availability (FTT=1) with RAID-1 mirroring. Taken from vSAN 6.7 Deploy and Manage Lecture Manual - Level of Failures to Tolerate section
